I love to help people achieve their ambitions, move forward on difficult challenges, build great working relationships in which they feel valued, value others for who they are and achieve what they want.

I’ve been working with human dynamics, complexity, culture and change as a leadership coach, organisational development consultant, researcher and developer of human potential for over thirty years.

I began with a focus on diversity and inclusion. More specifically, how understanding and building on the benefits of difference can unleash innovation. My Doctorate research focused on the development of women into leadership.

I founded Shapiro Consulting in 2003 with a mission to help build high-performing, relational organisations where people from all backgrounds feel a strong sense of belonging.

I’ve worked with the European Commission on gender equality - leading programmes on innovation, employee diversity and engagement. I’ve been an independent advisor on diversity, equity and inclusion to the former BBC Trust and Department for Energy and Climate Change in the UK and led People and Culture for a growing global tech business. In 2023, I was honoured to join the Board of the global employee-owned manufacturer, Scott Bader Commonwealth as an External Guardian Trustee.

With a passion for life-long learning, I’m a graduate and member of the NTL Institute for Applied Behavioural Science and a graduate and faculty member of the iGOLD Center for Gestalt Organisational and Leadership Development. I’m an accredited Executive Coach and member of the Association for Coaching and International Coaching Federation.

As my career and business have grown, so too has my family. I’m a proud mum of two young adults and love that my husband, a woodworker and experimental archaeologist, does something completely different to me!
